Some Men Are Like A Poem

Perfect in every way, while some are like a trashy magazine, to be thrown away

Some Men Are Like Poem

Some men are like a poem,

Not worth the paper they claim

All glitter on the surface,

No meaning in the name.

Lines spoken loud and hollow,

Words strung just to deceive;

They write themselves in echoes,

But offer no reprieve.

Promises like empty verses,

Flutter in the wind,

And rhyme without a reason

That leaves the heart unpinned.

Some men are like a poem,

A flashy, empty show—

Ink smudged without purpose,

As shallow as they go.

But real men are like verses,

Crafted line by line,

With strength in quiet rhythm

And purpose in their spine.

They are the words worth keeping,

The lines that stay and stand—

A story woven steady,

A poem written by hand.

Now don't go lumping us all together. There are good men out there of all kinds. Good work.
