I didn’t know there was a person out there with the same emotional depth as me. I’d convinced myself that maybe I was the crazy one, that there was something wrong. Yet here you were, all along.

My heart aches for you.

The hidden secrets in my smiles, in my laughter

about thinking to myself, how is this real,

there‘s no such thing as happily ever after

For me happily ever after isn’t a throne,

or a castle or riches or anything like that.

For me happily ever after

is finding one person

who feels as deep as you do

who knows what its like

who loves all of you, even the darkest pieces

and always still chooses you, no matter

what happens.

Life happens, life is meant to be experienced, lived

Your ship, my love, is meant to sail the great seas

To find yourself on a great adventure

To be my Odysseus. I’ll be waiting for you at home

Or maybe I feel like Penelope, because I feel like

I’ve been waiting so long, waiting for signs

Waiting with people who were all wrong,

When it was you, it was you all along.
