The rain falls softly down the sky; down the windows,
It pools in cracks and toppling over.
Bright yellow boots come stomping down the way
Splash! Splash!
His boots hit the crack and up goes the rain,
Only to come back down again.
The trees whisper in anger at his show of defiance to the sky.
They whisper to each other
And to the wind that shakes their darkened leaves
And the wind sighs to the grass as they dance in the blue spring
The grass hums to the droplets on their back
And the droplet whispers to their brothers and sister green.
The sky hear the talk,
Lightning comes and goes
A petulant child, throwing objects about,
The child with the yellow boots looks up to the wrathful sky
And out come a bright peal of laughter, soothing all hurts
Sister sun comes, placing a hand on brother sky
The rain falls softly down the sky, down the windows
It pools in cracks and goes over.
