Soft Light

Gentle Glow

Soft Light

memories float like feathers

embers flicker into flames

we dig, searching for treasures

to make ourselves a name

lanterns protect the spark

helping us to find our way

a rare, luminous arc

illuminating the shade

and it's light falls, like forgiveness

tranquil and as soft as a whisper

the healing comes as a process

reviving life from the ember

until the past finds its place

in our hearts, warm and tender

leaving a glow on each face

feeding on what's left of the tinder

then, the ashes blow free

wafting up into forever

riding the temperate breeze

bringing the pieces together

Good job and if I read it right, we should all have a chance to feel this way at least once in a lifetime.
