Sodalite Cove

The vast mystical island

of Sodalite Cove

is home to gentle, coastal fairies,

musical and lively mermaids

and floating underwater animals

who are jovial as giggly pandas.

Twinking rainbow fish

blow juicy, bubbly kisses

from a distance.

Exotic sea creatures

taste and smell

the perfumed ocean.

Mermaids

with neon coloured, waist length hair

and ostentatious fishtails

sing beach melodies,

recite midsummer psalms

and dance to the music

of the secluded, Western islands.

Seaside fairies

feast their eyes on

the infinite outdoor aquarium

of capitvating sea critters and polychromatic fish.

As they flump on the clear quartz sand

and tourmaline beach chairs,

they strum their wooden recorders

and put on a concert

for the cranes, crabs and pelicans

to attend and be a guest at!
