Social Orthodoxy

Inspired by George Orwell's Novel, 1984.

GO, 1984 - "Orthodoxy means not thinking - not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness"

Social media is orthodoxy.

Social media is scrolling meaninglessly through toxic 'click bait'; focusing on others lives more than you pay attention to your own; creating unrealistic ideologies of how you 'should' look; implanting images of what's 'normal'; displaying perfect show reels of photogenic moments, usually not as spontaneous or interesting as they seem; judging someone you've never met; over sharing intimate, personal memories; openly expressing needless hatred so easily!

Social media is revolution.

Social media is changing thought processes; sending positive messages to masses; giving a voice to minorities; a safe haven for some; shedding knowledge on social and economical issues; making a difference within multiple societies; a window for creative opportunity; where opinions are heard; a chance for us all to relate and connect; a place for change.

Social media is our reality.
