Words are emotions, hope, contempt,
In words, there is also respect.
Has anyone ever truly been satisfied just by these words,
Or was there a void within, which could never be filled?
In every 'thank you,' there is a hidden prayer,
In every eye, a deep hope rests.
Emotions, in search of just a small reason for gratitude,
It is not just to express thankfulness.
Rather, it is a deep truth that is expressed without words.
Thank you so much! Only words bring comfort,
The heart desires nothing else now, just this peace.
Have I ever thanked myself?
Is this any less, or more than words and good intentions?
The search for 'thank you' is just a momentary thing,
But don't I feel the need to embrace it,
And give that respect to others,
Which is not given unconditionally by anyone?
Isn't this the real meaning of 'thank you'?
Or, it means; you want more thank you's?

Thank you so much for being my friend! Loved your poem!
Good job on this poem when I say Thank you, I mean, but I know some say it as rote out of politeness.
💙🤗
Omg, you didn't have to do that. That's so sweet of you to mention me at the end ✨☺ The poem? It's such a beautiful piece. You've explained the definition, the explanation, and the 'essence' of Thank-You ❤ It's just utterly beautiful ✨ And not to forget; "Thank you" :)
