It's the holiday season, and time for a little cold as well. Coming from Asia, I don't get to experience snow. But for anyone, anywhere, it signifies many things such as purity, change, flexibility and innocence. Enjoy these free-form verses.

Snow

White flakes

Form and fall

Its lovely whiteness

Untainted

Pure snow

Each flake

Owning its own shape

Devoid of the touch

Of dirt and shadow

Snow

That lays on the ground

A blanket

That covers

Animals in gentle slumber

Snow

Flakes that form and fall

But one

Cold  season

In a year

Snow

The white flakes signal

That it is time

For things

To take

A different turn.
