Snakes in the Grass

People can be pests too

As I stepped out my house

Whispers would plague the yard

As they spoke of obscenities'

Stains of black appeared

They ruined my yard

Never thought about their actions

Just kept on speaking

.

The snakes would morph into people

Try to talk about what they shouldn't

Intelligence in areas of grey

Emotional levels of a toddler

Shallowness of a money-loving man

They did not mind their business

And therefore I did

.

What was my solution?

I mowed the grass

Filled empty burrows

And used the water hose
