Conveyor of meaning

A smile conveys many meanings

from gritted teeth to jubilation,

a language learnt from birth

intrinsic to all.

-

A smile from ear to ear

the width will never seem wide enough,

the language of this grin is pure, untainted love,

a love that carries infectious joy.

-

A smile warmer than the August sun

the warmth of which lifts the grimmest moods,

the language of this conveys unconditional pride,

a pride in love, fearless and whole.

-

A smile so open, inviting and kind

a smile to defrost the shiest of all,

the language of this is an open invite

an inviting space for worlds to connect.

-

A smile of familial love

the power of which can connect different worlds,

the language of this is the warmest embrace

a love that thaws the coldest of hearts.

-

A smile of acceptance, simple and pure

an uncomplicated act,

the language of this speaks more than one thousand words,

you are accepted my son.

-

The sum of all these smiles,

spells out the union of two,

two families become one,

welcome to all.

-

A story of how this poor soul, felt the most welcome and loved, he's ever felt.
