Smells, Sights, Sounds On Winter Days

There are many.

By Darla M SeelyPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

The fresh clean scent of snow is in the air.

Sunlight reflects on it causing a glare.

Many icicles on rooftops are found.

Our winter boots crunch on the frozen ground.

There's a slight ozone smell before it snows.

We can hear the wind howling when it blows.

The frost covers the branches which are bare.

We hear the kids laugh, make snowmen with care.

We think the snow smells crisp, earthy, and sweet.

Sounds of kids playing in snow is a treat.

Many snowflakes drift from skies which are gray.

The trees creak in the wind during the day.

This poem beautifully captures the sensory experience of winter, blending vivid imagery of sights, smells, and sounds. The playful details, like the crunch of boots on snow and the laughter of children, create a nostalgic and heartwarming scene. It really brings the cold, crisp atmosphere of winter to life!
