this feeling

to feel i owe you so many songs

so much poetry

leaves me restless

if i had it in my hands, i'd give you heavens

if it wasn't only storms

this feeling

to feel my silence drowns you

leaves me restless

if i could,

i'd tell you everything i think

if i'd learned how to

so i write it all down

and try to add some beauty to it

make it rhyme

hope it makes sense

because it's easier to navigate

oceans made of fire

than to cross this ice

it's easier to hide my voice deep down

and only be an echo

it's easier to be a ghost town

a broken bridge

a missed call

it will always be easier to hide

hide from the reflection that looks back at you

and for what?

when will it end, sweet child?
