Situations Change

Poem

By Paul CrockerPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Yesterday, I was lonely with nobody to call my own.

Today, I'm his one and only and the blues have been startled and flown.

If you have the chance.

You should have that dance.

And take that hand.

Don't let fear keep you down.

Spread the word all over town.

That you've earned yourself this crown.

Because situations change every day.

So don't let anything get in your way.

I used to be a man without passion, everybody got me low.

Now I can wear it like a fashion that gets me noticed wherever I go.

When the clouds are getting greyer.

Don't be a delayer.

Get up and be a player.

Put yourself into the game.

There is no one to blame.

No one will label you with shame.

When situations change, you'll hold the winning hand.

Become the one that is in demand.

Depression can so rapidly take hold.

Give the impression that your happily far from sold.

Head up and show off that beautiful smile.

It is time to step out in style.

Yours is the number that everyone wants to dial.

But popularity can come at a cost.

The warming touch turning as cold as frost.

All of that attention is now lost.

Because situations change in the blink of an eye.

So don't be too quick to say live or die.
