sins

of my lips

i sinned today.

opened my lips

rolled my tongue

on blue sugar crystals

that were sweet

only until i swallowed.

i cannot forget

because now my

teeth are stained

with a mark of Cain

and i think everyone

around me is staring

because now they know.

i will forgive myself

in the form of

solemn promises

looking in the mirror

and beads of sweat.

but i beg you

please do not

come for me.

This reminds me of my Mormon friend that liked coming to my house when we lived in SLC because we had soda. I now that's probably not what you were going for. But it just reminded me of his poor little soul being so excited to sneak treats at our house
