Sinner/Saint

Truth

By Gregory AndersonPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

You can be a sinner

You can be a saint

Run with the devil

Rock with the light

Why you pace the floor

What keeps you up at night

Carry the worries of a world that sees in black and white

Toss and turn thinking about what’s wrong or right

Contemplating about all you hear on the news at night

Cause and effect just like planting a seed time to separate the chaff from the wheat

Work to be done where do you begin you can’t face the truth until you look within

Why be surprised so many who plot and scheme

When what goes out over the airwaves tells you money is the stuff of dreams

Morality was like riding in the saddle it has now become human collateral

Deception and division are fruits of a tainted tree

Light and dark the the choices so what will it be

Birth does not happen without the body feeling some pain

You can not speak of your life changing and remain the same

With your hand you only extend for what can be gained

We look all around us and treat another human being with disdain

Sometimes only in death do people seek that spark of change

Be not discouraged for we are alive it is in our nature for us to rise

Be you a saint

Be you a sinner

With faith and hope the picture becomes clearer
