Our world is on is knees
So many of the people begging please
Still the people are looking for some conclusion
Only to find the multitude are disillusioned
In a world filled with hatred flowing like a stream a man once proclaimed I have a dream
Our world has become jaded by the things we are seeing truth and honor have lost their meaning
Standing under a banner be it red or blue we allow a color to define what’s inside you
History bemoaned we have a tradition of pointing fingers and throwing stones
Neighbor to neighbor without love we are distant strangers
The consensus is to reach a better union we the people can’t be disillusioned
How shall we stand united when we are clearly divided
The parameters of right and wrong are barely hanging on
We must unearth the oldest clue the truth is buried within you
So many talk entertain and brag speaking about the things they have
We the people applaud and proclaim we are entertained
Our world appears more focused on who is the g.o.a.t than a enemy at our throat
Many are blind and have lost their way a substance the enemy that invades
Through chaos and strife it overwhelms and ruins lives
Wealth and fame can mask the pain that inward they are empty and it’s all a game
While the masses suffer a bruising the numbers swell for the disillusioned
We must learn to see each other that is the conclusion
The only way to awake our world of so many who are disillusioned
