In Shades of Green.

Sin-cerly.

Envy has begun its meal,

Consuming all we could consist of until its focus is

Liminal, set only in shades of green to cast us in ghastly

Irreverence—a bitter taste, so hateful.

Penance I pay for casting

Shadows on our potential, thoughts darkening until sin has

Eclipsed us all and devoured us whole.

Ooooh, I love the imagery and diction in this one!! A very unique entry into the challenge. That opening line: "Envy has begun its meal", drew me right in!

  • Great acrostic! Wonderfully written
