I grew up with simple manners being mandatory
The lack of please and thank you from one’s vocabulary
Is detrimental to the character; be aware
It really should be automatic but it’s much more than
Saying some nice words; proper etiquette is an honorable trait
That shows respect and appreciation for other people
Avoiding the use of manners can be quite offensive,
Portraying a sense of self entitlement, completely disregarding
Other’s rules, values and customs; do not take for granted
Anything, no matter how small it may appear to you
Instead, think of how you would feel if the tables were turned
Always keep this in mind as you interact with family, friends,
Colleagues and even strangers; a huge fact; a simple please
And thank you can turn a frown into a smile and brighten an
Otherwise gloomy day; never forget your manners
