Simple

I looked for you in obscure corners   

And impossible mazes.   

I searched for you in hidden tunnels   

And intellectual puzzles.

But, you tap me on my shoulder   

You’ve been here all along;   

In the easy places   

Like the open sunshine   

Or when everything felt confusing,  

You remained through the night.    

In my complicated seeking   

You were always by my side   

Leading me back to You.

It’s so much simpler   

Than I had imagined.    

You direct me with your hand.  

A new beginning replaces the dead end.
