Silver Eyes

An Ode to My Beloved Companion

Ode to my beloved, I call you Silver Eyes. You are an earthbound goddess under her disguise. With a perfect figure down from nose to toe, Which is as long and limber as the sprightly doe.

Your flaxen mane is tinsel in the morning sun. It bounces as we go about our daily run. Stormy are your eyes even in weather fair. When I walk beside you, all the people stare.

My gentle loving lady you are pleased to be, Always there to grace me with your majesty. But if a stranger came to do me harm, A fearsome sight you make blaring your alarm.

To my every bidding, without question you abide. No matter where I take you, you wait at my side. My true and faithful partner, with you my heart lies. A canine and companion, my lovely Silver Eyes.
