Her soul's the color silver it glitters in the light,
If you're looking hard enough then maybe you just might,
See it in the way she smiles the lines upon her face,
Even though her body's aged she carries it with grace,
It's the kindness in her heart and the twinkle in her eyes,
The compassion in her tears every time she cries,
It's the stretch marks that she bears the flaws upon her skin,
All the ways her body broke from holding life within,
Threads that glisten through her hair showing us she's old,
Wisdom passing through her lips in stories she has told,
Crooked fingers on her hands that nurtured all our dreams,
Weathered bones that carried us through everything it seems,
Even when she's hurting she will tell you that she's fine,
The beauty of her spirit is what truly makes her shine,
Her soul's the color silver it makes your life feel bright,
Piercing through the darkness like the stars that shine at night.
