Maybe I'm the only one?
What if stout Triceratops
Tripped and fell on bottom-us?
What if old Diplodocus
Tied a knot in its neck-us?
What if a fierce, mean Allosaur
Lost its voice and couldn't roar?
What if spiky Stegosaurus
Sneezed and lost its Thagomizers
And had to file a claim-asaurus
With line-by-line tight itemizers?
What if scary Spinosaur
Decided that it wanted more
Than leaves and twigs and tiny apes
And went and invented canapes?
(Remember, grammar's not invented yet,
And pronunciation ain't been set.)
What if Parasaurolophus
Said it's too much, just call it Gus?
What if Archaeopteryx
Added rhinestones to the mix?
What if a gentle Brachiosaur
Got allergies that made it snore?
What if meaty Carnotaur
Said veggies are what feed it best,
Chasing fast food hurts it sore,
So order in, nap, wake refreshed?
What if Tyrannosaurus Rex
With ripply muscle-y over-flex
Declared it won't be king of us,
Voted for republic-us?
(If reading this is such a chore,
Forgive this smarty-pants-asaur.)
