Silent waters, a still mind
A short poem about how diving gives me the opportunity to escape the chaos of life and find true peace.
Silently I descend, the ocean’s gentle embrace surrounds me.
Infinite blue stretches as I surrender to its pull.
Lost in the vast, the surface fades away.
Each breath echoes softly.
No voices can be spoken in this wordless realm, here I find true solitude.
Comfort in the abyss.
Enveloped in the deep, at last, I find peace.

Tea of Warmth
It was a grey day in Plymouth, a day when the rain didn't just fall; it seemed to hover as if it were something solid that you could touch. It seeped into everything and everyone. My little tea shop on the cobbled seafront promenade had become a haven for people fleeing the rain and seeking warmth all afternoon.
