Silent Prayer

Silent Prayer

By ElliePublished 9 months ago 1 min read

I saw him today, his eyes spoke volumes,

A silent plea, a storm behind the calm.

Everyone expects, no one perceives,

The battles he fights, the weight he heaves.

His gaze met mine, a mirror of pain,

A soul crying out in silent refrain.

I longed to reach out, to hold him tight,

To whisper, "You're not alone in this fight."

But words escaped, trapped in my chest,

So I turned to prayer, seeking the best.

"Ya Allah," I pleaded, "hear his silent cries,

Grant him strength, let hope arise."

He's toiled for years, in devotion and strife,

Yet blessings seem distant in his life.

"Please," I begged, "ease his load,

Let him feel the light, lessen his road."

Though I couldn't voice my care aloud,

My heart screamed prayers, strong and proud.

For in silent supplication, I found a way,

To support him through each weary day.
