SILENCE

An acrostic poem

Sans sound or light

In the dead of night

Lying miserably conscious, no idea what do do,

Eviscerated by the absence of you

Noticing how the tune of your breath

Carried me always to slumber’s depths

Endlessly awake now, ‘til I join you in death
