A Harpie is a Siren

One in the same

By Seashell Harpspring Published about 18 hours ago Updated about 18 hours ago 1 min read

Sirens are part harpie

They morph into a bird

to tear apart

the fraudulent "siren"

in the sand

Picking away at the scales

of the faker's snake tail

trying to steal the voice of the original.

The one who thinks they can take

and leak a story

that is not theirs

to even tell.

The push away

from the ocean home they invaded

feels like horrible treatment

to the imposter.

She just keeps denying

what position she truly holds

cannot be one that is

already filled

They should shed the skin

that does not belong with them

But she screams at snakes

because she does not even realize

she is one also

fact or fiction
