Sometimes in the shadows I turn toward myself
Inside where I hear the mumbles leftover from the day
Listening only to what makes me feel special is not easy
Especially when being who I am can feel so hard
Never knowing if I can let my guard down and just be free
Causes, always cautious, tiring of wondering who is real
Especially you my friend

Really excellent, Rock! Was going to pick a favorite line but they’re all so strong and seamless
The wondering about who is real and the ending feels so heavy. You really hit on such relatable and difficult emotions here. Beautifully written!
Silence yet mumbes inside my head...perfect.
"mumbles leftover from the day" - perfectly expressed!
Beautiful 🤩
I like the mumbles and listening to only what makes me feel special. Excellent entry.
This was an excellent take on the challenge! Loved your Acrostic so much!
Absolutely loved it, especially the phrasing of "the mumbles leftover from the day".
Where I hear the mumbles of the day...UGH, never being able to shut the head down can be so tiring...this is awesome Rock
LIsening only to what makes me feel special - brilliant line.
