there was a silence between us
as we watched the movie
no commentary
no laughter
no sound
just the two of us
our fingers interlocked
our bodies sharing heat
for the first time in a long time
it didn’t feel like it was wrong to love you
to look at you and think you were my future

A love poem about the small moments that build into a lifetime. I adore how you captured this moment. I feel there might be some darkness behind the lines: "for the first time in a long time it didn’t feel like it was wrong to love you to look at you and think you were my future" But I won't prod. ❤️
Sitting in silence is underrated. A beautiful reminder of that in this piece.
👏🏾 we can learn many things about our feelings in the silence. Beautifully written!
I included your poem on my article this week, https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/lust-for-words-3%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E I hope that more people get to enjoy it ❤️✨🥰
Another from my heart’s memory x
