Silence in the Stars
My love for the night sky, in silent exploration
Staring at the sky at night
Ignited by stars' dying light
Loneliness creates no sound
Eternal depths of nebula clouds
Nothingness of unlimited exploration
Celestial beams of light show the final destination
Escape with me in soundless communication

This poem was written in response to the challenge "Moment of Silence" and I was instantly reminded of my late nights outside looking at the sky and searching for peace and silence in the calmness of the sky.
The poem was written in the form of an acrostic poem. Each letter from each sentence spells out the word SILENCE.
The image I attached to this poem is one I also took myself. The universe was showing me love and kindness one evening, and it brought me peace and comfort.
I am thankful for the opportunity to try this and push the creativity of my writing with such prompts.
