Silence became my truest companion
Finding Peace and Mindfulness in a Noisy World After Life's Lessons
I've begun to like silence and quietness.
I have to admit, after going through some things and dealing with certain people, I quietly changed my personality. The familiar self of the past can never return. Times are changing, and people are changing too. Having seen the various aspects of the world and experienced the warmth and coldness of human nature, in the end, only silence and quietness accompany me.
In this Information Age, we are always swept up by the voices of the outside world, being compared and questioned. There are always people who confuse right and wrong, and there are always people who spread rumors. There are always people making trouble out of nothing, and there are always people who are dissatisfied with you. No matter how you live, everyone is talking behind your back. There is no need to compromise yourself just to please others.
One has to go through some things before one can see some people clearly. People who don't care about you will still ignore you no matter how much you say. People who are not close to you will still be indifferent, no matter how nice you are to them. After seeing the world and going around thousands of mountains, you will eventually return to the sea. I understand the secular world, but I don’t want to become secular myself.
So, I choose to talk to them in silence and use silence to maintain mindfulness. The world is different, and there is no point in saying more. If you have different opinions, don’t argue or debate. Things in this world most of the time don’t go as planned. There is nothing more to tell others. Once you understand it, you become silent.
It's not that I don't have the ability to get along with others, but I no longer have the interest to act around. Compared to the hustle and bustle of a group of people, I enjoy the quiet of the night more, the joy and freedom that belong to one person.
If you have to wear a mask to deal with people, disturbed by the world, and trapped by human feelings, when I think about it, I have already lost myself. Instead of wasting time on meaningless people and things, it’s better to be yourself comfortably.
