Side-By-Side we Grow

This is the story of two kids that build a bond that transcends time. As we grow there will always be some thing we just can’t let go

Side-by-side we grow

As we knew time will flow, with years and years we grow, five will turn into twenty-five with several more still to go

Side-by-side we shall change and grow

I’m thirty and you are thirty-two

We met as kids, full of life and dreams to share

Side-by-side we grow; to friends then sisters too

We climbed trees and scrapped knees

Had tea parties and traded clothes

Games we played, toys we shared

We did it all as we grew

Snuck out of houses and went on adventures

Pranked the neighbours and hid behind fences

Made mistakes; fixed them too

There were tears of joy and tears of sorrow

Together we stayed and helped each other through

There was one year then it was two

Side-by-side we grew; from girls to women, strong and true;

Time will ebb and time will flow

People will come and they will go

Memories may become askew;

Life will harden and beat us down

Side-by-Side — strong and true — two girls we grew

Then along the way; found a purpose in a life and family of our own

There will be times apart with seas and cities in between.

But this is one thing we wont let go.
