Before the batteries need to be recharged,

Before I write another story or poem.

Before I can go forward, my friend,

Before you start to think this is the end,

A moment, if you dont mind.

A moment to think of all of the yesterdays,

A memory, a song or even a photograph.

A time when dreams felt possible,

A time to relax.

A time to feel alive.

Shutting down from a world full of hate.

Shutting down to explore and appreciate.

Shutting down to take a trip here or there.

Shutting down to rest without fear.

Shutting down to think of a possible new career.

1,2,3,4,,5.....

Blessed to be alive.

Blessed to say I survived.

Blessed to take moments like this.

Blessed to share with family and friends.

Blessed to be back where I want to be.

Blessed to do this anytime, anywhere or when,

Blessed
