Short Poems

Vol. 3

“A morning of conception;

Swarming forms - expressions;

Warming warring norms this session;

Guess what’s best: My own direction;

Test to test - impressed with this succession;

Inquest - inquire which incidents lead to aspiring:

I suggest the indolent - the one’s that were so tiring;

Ironic, reappraised them as inspiring:

What began transpiring?

Once I overrided both the lazy and the strident,

I took strides to save me in the silence

- Needed quiet, not resignment

- Got to working on assignments -

Nothing beats fulfillment’s they’ve provided;

I continue building - it’s almighty.”

“Underestimation’s now atypical

- No imbecile or simpleton:

I distinguish which is literal or figurative;

I relinquish - I extinguish fibs - it’s critical;

Components of myself, they coalesce - centripetal

- Superlative - My best when centered:

Endure to live, mature and give;

- I pick to pile on perks assertively -

I deconfirm inertia purposely:

I do it to affirm what’s surely serving me.”
