She was a hummingbird

Life is hard but beautiful with others

By natalia kamusinskiPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She was a hummingbird - bright, busy and beautiful

Flying here and there, making flowers

Bang! She crashed to the ground.

“Oh no”, yelled a boy, honey eyes tearing up

“Wait! It’s just her wing”,

“she’ll survive” he thinks.

But she cannot fly,

she feels cold,

The world looks grey.

Day by day he looks after her,

Time passes, the world seems brighter

One day she smells flowers.

One day she lifts her tiny wing

It flutters,

And she’s gone,

Back into the world of colours.

Time passes some more,

She is bright, busy and beautiful making flowers.

She feels faint,

the world is blurry,

She slowly floats to the ground.

“Oh no” says a little girl, honey eyes tearing up,

“It’s ok” says her father

She had a good life

You see, she was a hummingbird.
