She Waits Beyond the Rain

A haunting tale of love, loss, and the quiet strength of waiting hearts beneath the rain.

By Kevin HudsonPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

Beneath the sky, where silence weeps,

She waits beyond the rain.

A shadow cast in midnight’s breath,

A whisper carved in pain.

Her eyes, two lanterns lost at sea,

Still search a shoreless tide—

For love that lived a thousand lives,

But never truly died.

She speaks to winds no one can hear,

A voice too soft to stay.

Yet echoes bloom in empty rooms,

Where dreams have lost their way.

Her fingers trace the raindrops' dance

On windows cold and bare,

As if the glass could somehow feel

The longing written there.

He promised stars, she caught the night,

And tucked it in her chest.

But stars, they fall—he disappeared,

Now silence is her guest.

Yet still she stands beyond the rain,

A figure in the mist.

For hope is stitched in broken hearts—

A vow the storm has kissed.
