She Took a Mental Wealth Day

The simplicity of a girl and her horse,

riding down joy’s earthen course.

She shut the news channels off inside,

and took to the outdoors to abide.

Nature’s authentic back rub,

brought the needed nurturing that nothing else could.

The fresh air brought peace to her lungs,

her feminine feet bare,

her spirit free, without a single care!

Motion of the galloping horse reminded her of her wild heart,

and then resting in the shade,

reminiscing on memories that had begun to fade.

Therapeutic Light neared the end,

as the sun parted ways with the Day,

shaking hands with nightly haze.

This feels like a breath of fresh air—literally! Taking a mental wealth day should be mandatory. Nature truly knows how to hit the reset button! ✨

The outdoors is therapy all by itself, and a horse just makes it better. I wish I could ride Salem again 😊❤️
