She stood and cried.

A poem about insecurities

She stood and cried,

The reflection that she saw.

The image staring back.

To her was full of flaws

Her hair was thin and brittle,

Now flowing like a river,

Her eyes were not bright or wide.

Just squinting little slivers,

She wasn't truly happy

With the way she felt she looked

Many told her what she thought.

So, she hid in little nooks.

Her heart was full of love.

A love she wants to give.

She knew there would be a time.

She`s have the life she wants to live.

One a cloudy day

She decided she was done.

She wanted to hide away.

The suddenly out comes the sun.

Her sun was a light.

The brightest of them all

It only took a moment.

For this girl to fall

Noe when she takes a look.

And sees herself back in the mirror

The sun shed her a light.

That made her see herself cleaner.
