She Showed Me

Lessons in Friendship

She showed me

Strength is a beautiful

Gift shining from within

But weakness is okay

We can’t always be

The one to win.

She showed me

Tears had the power

To heal

And laughter

Is often a gift

To see us through.

She showed me

True beauty comes

From within

And brokenness is

Rarely what

It seems to be

And physical pain

Hurts far less

Than the pain

That pierces your

Soul.

She showed me

Life is a gift

A treasure to

Be cherished.

And she showed

Me

Life is

Fleeting

Each day passing

In the blink of

An eye.

She showed me

Courage

Does not always

Shout

Sometimes

It whispers

With just enough

Voice to be

Heard.
