She's Gone
HRH QE II (1926 - 2022)
One woman to rule us,
A face on our money.
And not a peep from Mr. Rotten,
Or that band that had Morrissey.
I feel too tired
To be so sad.
Not to say
This makes me glad.
Her son takes over
(Pending certain rules).
England will last
(The others all drool).
Goodbye, fair lady.
You left us today.
May peace guide you
And bring corgis your way...

Great tribute to our Queen! I also wrote a poem about Her Majesty, ‘Red Box of the Queen’. It’s on my Vocal profile, if you want to take a look. Thank you!
