She, Me, I, Her

The Poem, Is The Poet

To be the poem and not the poet

just one time, to rule the rhyme

An inspiration, yet not know it

skip like a melody, right on time

***

To have the spotlight for a moment

yeah, I admit, would sure be cool

To rise above the disappointment

win at love and break the rules

***Like:

Her grasp on love was naive and flimsy

she always kept the moon in line.

Sang songs of love, wild, whim and whimsy

and like the sun, her smile would shine

***

She counted stars and played the fool

a lonely empath, bold and brave

Believes the world is more than cruel

the lost and broken, she will save

***

Amongst the stars, you'll find her playing

a force of nature, adorned by time

Melody unknown, still she is swaying

immersed in the rain and scent of pine

***

Nature's true child, both wild and free

even the seasons know her name

changing like the leaves upon the tree

the world will never be the same

inspirational
