She Is Still A Person

A beautiful woman alone and crying

Sitting by herself at home slowly dying

She never knew love but had plenty to share

She lives a life that is lonely and unfair

Sheltered from the world it seems she no longer cares

That is not the case at all, she is in deep despair

Her life has been rough her body has been bruised

In her relationship she was also emotionally abused

To the rest of the world she shows no emotion

But when she is home the tears flow like the ocean

Afraid of the pain she endured in the past

She swore no more relationships her ex was the last

She built emotional walls to keep everyone out

Trapped inside the walls was her need to shout

She no longer wanted to let anyone in

Afraid that a pain renewed would begin

She built these walls to keep people away

Trapped in these walls is where she will stay

The pain she suffered is impossible to imagine

Few can relate to the pain she keeps within

Those who can’t relate should not even try

The only words they can provide would just be a lie

She buried her emotions within these walls so deep

Only those who truly love her will see that her emotions slowly seep

Patience is required because her pain is so strong

Her struggles and suffering has lasted so very long

She is afraid to open up and let love in

To force her to would be a serious sin

She may seem distant but don’t cast judgment or reprimand

She has been through hell, hell you can never understand

She is not alone there are others as well

Sadly many of them did not survive their hell

She is not an empty object to be ignored and shoved

She is a beautiful woman she is still a person and wants to be loved.
