She is having his baby

I have lost him forever there is no going back there

She is having his baby

She is having his baby—

the one thing I could not give him.

My whole world is frozen,

suspended in a silence so thick

I cannot breathe through it.

My heart is heavy,

too heavy to beat,

too broken to matter.

I will never know the feeling

they both feel now—

the quiet joy, the whispered dreams,

the future that was never mine to hold.

I am too numb to move,

too hollow to break.

My eyes refuse to cry,

my mouth is dry,

and I am nothing

but the echo of what I was

before this.

I was his.

Now he is hers.

He wanted a child I could not give him.

Someone else stepped in

and gave him the future of his dreams.

So sad for one, but in a way happy for the other. Good job.
