She is a mother, a fortress of love for her children's need,
She gives her all, every treasure, every deed.
She is nurturing, compassionate, lovely
She's immaculate, a wonder, a beauty
But now, she withers, and no wonder why,
She is slowly fading, as time passes by.
She is crumbling,
She is dying.
She looks at her children with an anguish in her eyes
“Why are you destroying me?” she cries
Her children whom she loved dearly
Are destroying her severely.
That’s far from what she wanted,
Her children taking her for granted
Right now, she needs her children to have care
Because if they don’t, there’ll soon be no her.
She is a mother,
And I am her child.
She is a mother,
And you are her child.
She is our mother,
And we must save her
She is our mother,
Our planet, our home.
