She inspires me

I was raised as a Queen and released as a soldier.

And I inspire me.

Everyday I rise to any challenge and march forward with my head held high.

And because of that I am proud.

Everyday we get a choice to decide where our foot will step next.

In this choice I have taken either Path A, Path B, Path C or, the path built just for me.

In taking those steps I’ve ended up here. A place where no one else gets to choose but me.

How inspirational is that?

I think just about anyone can do it, even if it’s not a literal step.

And because of that, you inspire me.

I don’t mean to sound vain even though I do. As you should too.

It is inspiring to wake up, whether in the morning, evening, or twilight,

And decide which dream I will pursue.

Eat a meal, answer a phone call, change my socks, conquer the world?

The excitement of being able to decide, when, where and how I do it.

You can see why I amaze myself.

For every time I accept the challenges, I do it for no one but myself.

I get influences, I get support, I get motivation. I learn lessons from various teachers.

Then I act out my blueprints with skills that are left to my own imagination.

I speak out with the vivacity of my mother.

I inspire me.

I fly high with the determination of my brothers.

I inspire me.

I find peace with the calmness of a lover.

I inspire me.

For who else can feel that but me?

Deep down to my very core and being, who else can be me, move me, fuel me, live me, but me?

And damn it, that inspires me.

What makes this sort of inspiration so great is that,

in the end,

No matter where you’ve been, no matter where you are, no matter where you go,

Anyone can be inspired by looking within.

And who else puts her life on that, but me?

Which is why I have faith in the woman I am and the woman I will become.

For everyday, for the rest of my life, she inspires me.
