Shattered Silence broken bones

She killed the Narcissist

Shattered Silence broken bones

His words would cut, his fists would break,

Her broken bones bore his mistakes.

A narcissist who craved control,

He crushed her body, stole her soul.

Each bruise she hid, each tear she shed,

A life of fear, a heart half-dead.

But deep within, her anger grew,

A spark of strength she barely knew.

One night, his hand was raised again,

But this time, hers would mark the end.

The blade came down, his cry was brief,

Her broken life found grim relief.

But now she stands beneath the light,

A courtroom looms, her endless fight.

For murdering the swine, she'll pay the cost,

A prison cell, her freedom lost.

No witnesses spoke, no one to defend,

She told no soul, she’d not pretend.

She kept her pride, her story untold,

Now justice leaves her, bitter and cold.

I love that it rhymes, so few poems seem to these days 😁
