Shattered Mind
A Descent into Madness and Fear

In the stillness past midnight’s breath,
Shadows twist, and reason’s death,
A mirror bleeds, reflections wail,
A stranger’s face, a hollow tale.
--
A voice slithers, deep and low,
Whispers secrets you cannot know,
Nights erased, hands that carved,
A mind unraveled, fate starved.
--
The darkness thickens, corners creep,
Something laughs, no soul to keep,
Thoughts invade, they pierce and flay,
A gnawing buzz that won’t decay.
--
You shut your eyes, but there’s no peace,
Visions surge, never cease,
The skin sloughs off, reveals the bone,
A haunting cry—you’re not alone.
--
Now you’re the shadows, lost in dread,
Behind the mirror, where dreams are fed,
The thing inside wears your skin,
And when it laughs, you’re pulled back in.
--
You’ll linger here, a shattered shade,
Trapped in madness that you made,
And when you scream, they’ll hear your plea—
But you are the thing that’s never free.
