Shadows Fall

~ A Poem

Winter wishes whisper shadows

Throughout the darkened hall

Whispers in shadows fall without sense

As silent movies dance without a trace

But as the snow falls

They may dance through the tale

Only the night won’t follow a star

When the music doesn’t follow a pattern

So, hold your fire

Maybe a year ago

It would have been different

But now they are looking for you

You never changed

It was only the law of freedom

They say it’s a mystery

But it doesn’t look the same to me

10 thousand times the picture changes

Now we’re left in the dark once again

Shadows fall

In the darkest hour of the night

But the spooky air

And the dusty rhythm

Washes away the bright clouds

Now turn around, shadows fall

Without sense

Silently they stalk without a trace

When nobody dares

They begin to walk
