Holiday fun has just begun

Sex on the Beach at Night

Sand in my hair, salt on my skin,

Your hands rough, rushed, pulling me in.

The tide rose fast. So did we.

No talk of love, no poetry.

The moon was low, your eyes were high,

You kissed me like a bitter lie.

Waves crashed hard, the stars looked down,

You wore desire like a crown.

You didn’t ask if I was cold.

Just took my heat, then let me fold.

Your name still lingers in my mouth,

Like blood I never spat back out.

I let you in, beneath my bones,

On broken shells, in haunted tones.

The sea was dark. The night was rough.

It wasn’t love. It was enough.

Now nine month later our baby born,

No sight of you since that night so warm.

I’ve never seen you ever again,

But our baby reminds me of the sin.

Sex on the beach by firelight,

Was a night to remember… on a holiday night.
