The long grass waves,
Corn seven high,
We’ve walked a mile,
Every step of life,
Days are short,
Enjoy each as ye can,
Years fade as yellowed leaves,
See how we dream,
Friends made and true,
How few yet we knew,
All of life in a kiss,
Seize today and its bliss.

Oh wow. This was such a nice photo. The colours. The shadows. Mid step. 👌🏾 I like that you personified the grass by casting our minds on the waving. That we know how high they were. I do like how this line, 'years fade as yellowed leaves,' fades into this one 'see how we dream' True friends really are few. I love the line you left us on, 'seize today and it's bliss'. It is a reminder I needed . Fantastic work as always, Jamye 🤗 ❤️ 🖤
All life in a kiss. What A warm poem. Nicely Done!!
Ah, that’s such a warm, nostalgic piece! Sometimes the sweetest wisdom comes from just walking through tall grass and living the moment.✨
I like your correlation between years and yellowed leaves.
This was so wonderful and profound. Loved your poem!
