Violet is Pride holding its head up high

Beating its chest and calling out loud

"Look at me! Look at me!"

Their achievements displayed for all to see

~

Greed is Indigo clutching all its treasures tight

A stray coin, a book, anything at all

"These are my treasures, none of them for you!"

Greed holds tight ready to fight

~

Lust is Red burning hot for all things of pleasure

A person, a thing, anything that bumps up the serotonin

"Come to me oh the joy you will bring."

Lust whispers to all things of pleasure

~

Green is Envy with nothing in hand

Watching everyone coveting what is in their hands

"I want it. It's mine. I deserve it, not them."

Envy mutters as they reach for your hand

~

Yellow is Gluttony craving everything in sight

Be it food, knowledge, and anything that can be devoured

"Give give give! Feed it to me!"

Gluttony cries while reaching out for me

~

Orange is Wrath the sun beating down

All things burn their heart and make them return it ten fold

"Away from me wretched things! Or I'll burn you to ash!"

Wrath screams at any who try to please

~

Blue is Sloth always trying to do something

Anything at all and yet nothing as well

"Please let me be. I'll do it after this sleep."

Sloth mutters from the comfort of their hearth

This was an oddly inspired poem by both the colors of the rainbow and the seven deadly sins from theology. I hope you all enjoyed this experimental idea. If you did please like, subscribe, and feel free to leave a tip. Till next time.
